Biomedical Services Base Technician

Key Responsibilities:

Perform diagnostics, maintenance, and basic repairs on laboratory equipment with low to moderate complexity.
Assist senior technicians and supervisors during equipment installations and service visits.
Calibrate and verify the performance of assigned devices following established procedures.
Communicate with clients to understand reported issues and provide clear updates.
Maintain accurate service logs and complete daily reports on performed work.
Follow safety procedures, including equipment decontamination and proper tool usage.
Support logistics by transporting equipment to and from designated areas as needed.
Study equipment manuals and participate in technical trainings to stay updated.
Keep the workspace organized and stocked with required parts and tools.
Participate in meetings and provide feedback to support continuous improvement.

Requirements:

Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Equipment Repair, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
At least one (1) year of experience in customer service and hands-on technical work.
Valid driver’s license and current passport required.
Strong computer skills, including experience with common office software.
Ability to read technical manuals and follow instructions accurately.
Excellent communication in both English and Spanish, written and verbal.
Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks.
Professional demeanor and commitment to client satisfaction.
Able to travel and work extended hours, weekends, or holidays as needed.
Comfortable working independently and as part of a team under minimal supervision.
